About DirectTrust PKI (TEFCA CA Participation) Trust List:
Digital certificates are the foundation of trust across many of healthcare’s secure data exchange protocols. For Facilitated FHIR in TEFCA, DirectTrust was subcontracted by The Sequoia Project in its role as the the Recognized Coordinating Entity (RCE) and Assistant Secretary of Technical Policy/Office of the National Coordinator (ASTP/ONC) to deploy infrastructure and services to support a root of trust that allows for certificates to be issued for the tens of thousands of FHIR endpoints in the TEFCA ecosystem. The DirectTrust Accredited Certificate Authorities that have the capability to issue such certificates are listed below.
